Today's Significance of the Biblical Holidays (Feasts)
Yeshua has fulfilled the First Four Feasts.
He will certainly fulfill the Last Three!
It is no wonder that satan has worked so hard to prevent the Church from celebrating the LORD's Biblical Feasts (Holidays). They are a powerful testimony to the fact that both the Old and New Testament Scriptures are inspired by God. The early feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits prophetically portrayed the death and resurrection of Yeshua (Jesus). He laid His life down (sacrificed) on Passover, was buried on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and was resurrected on First Fruits. The Feast of Weeks (Pentecost) was the day the Holy Spirit first fell on believers. When one actually practices these Feasts as commanded by God, one can clearly see each element of these major events in history. These Early Feasts are associated with Yeshua as the Suffering Servant spoken of in Scripture. The Latter Feasts are yet to come and are associated with Yeshua as the Conquering King. These include the Feast of Trumpets (Rapture), the Day of Atonement (Second Coming of Yeshua) and lastly, the Feast of Tabernacles (God dwelling with us). Just as the timing of the Latter Feasts are associated with the Latter Harvest, they are also associated with the Latter Day Harvest of Souls and the final ingathering of both the dispersed Jews and the redeemed of Yeshua. When one reads the Scriptures regarding the modern day regathering of Israel to the Wilderness before being brought to Israel; and compares it to the Scriptures that speak of the early wilderness experience with Moses, one can see the similarities. (Hosea 2:14-23; Jer 30&31; Ezekiel 20:33-38; and Revelation 12:14) In the First Wilderness Experience, God wrote His Law on stone tablets. In the latter day wilderness experience He is writing it on their hearts and minds. In fact, His new tabernacle becomes their hearts as they receive Yeshua as Savior. It should not be hard to understand that God wants His people to be keenly aware of this modern day regathering of Israel. In Isaiah 49:5-7, God says that He is going to use it to not only regather Israel but to also use it as a light to the Gentiles, that it will bring His Salvation to the ends of the earth. The Lord instructs us to:
"Sing with gladness for Jacob,
And shout among the chief of the nations;
Proclaim, Give Praise, and say
"O LORD, save your people,
The remnant of Israel!"
(Jer 31:7)
And promises:
...they will again be adorned with their tambourines,
And shall go forth in the dances of those who rejoice.
(Jer 31:4)
