Life brings many choices that can be compared to paths taken. Just as in the natural, some trails (or paths) are dangerous and lead to death. The early settlers of America are a good example, as some perished because they mistakenly took the wrong path that led them to a place of no water and no way out. Other paths took them to food and water that were needed for their very survival.
The very act of Yahuwah's design of Breast Feeding shows His path for mothers and children. Research has shown that breastfeeding brings health benefits to both mother and child. Many of the cancers that so plague the breasts and reproductive organs of mothers are reduced or eliminated for mothers who have lots of children and breastfeed their babies. The more years of breast feeding, the reduced risk of such cancers.
The health of children who are breast fed has also been found to be generally better than those who were not. Studies of this were established after it was found that children of third world countries were having fewer health problems than those of the developed nations. The question that arose was, "how could this be since the industrial nations have more resources for food and health care?" After the studies were complete, it was found that mothers in the poorer countries were breast feeding their babies, and this led to the improved health.
The Elohim given process of breastfeeding has other built in paths that bring increased Spiritual health to mothers and children. In Titus 2:5, Yeshua calls mothers to be keepers of the home. The process of breast feeding, when done within Elohim's design, helps to keep the mother at home with her children. It also keeps the mother physically close to her babies throughout the day, increasing the nurturing of mother to baby.
Not only is there an increased physical closeness to the child, but Yahuwah designed a chemical that is stimulated within the mother, called prolactin, that is produced when breastfeeding. This is sometimes called the "love-hormone," and increases the bond between the baby and mother. This hormone is also found in animals. When present they will fight to the death to protect their offspring. When this hormone is not present they do not exhibit this protection.
In humans, when mothers do not breast feed their babies they do not get this hormone, and it is much easier for them to walk away from [Yahuwah's] plan and leave their child with baby sitters while they go to work. Lamentations has strong words for humans who do not use Yahuwah's design of breast feeding:
"Even the jackals present their breast to nurse their young; But the daughter of my people is cruel, Like ostriches in the wilderness." (Lamentations 4:3 NKJV)
In contrast to Yahuwah's condemnation to those who do not offer their breast, Genesis 49:25 speaks of Yahuwah's blessings to those who do:
"Even by the God [El] of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:" (Gen 49:25 KJV) (emphasis mine)
Some believe the very reason mothers have left Yahuwah's path of breast feeding, was due to the materialism that came after World War II. After times of great want during the war, people were trying to get as much as they can. The phrase, "Keep up with the Jones'" is said to come from that time. This led mothers who use to stay at home to leave for the work force, and begin to mingle with other people's spouses. This led to much higher instances of adultery, guilt and divorce.
In times during the Gold Rush, the increased wealth led to an increase in inflation that rose prices exceedingly high. In like manner, our "modern," two income society has raised inflation so that without Yahuwah's help, it requires a two income family to just stay even with what people use to have with one income.
But this is nothing compared to the blessings of heaven that have been lost, as young children are taught in godless public schools, and not by their parents. Once the mother goes to work, and the family becomes dependent on this income, all sorts of evil comes our way. In fact, the Bible says that the love of money is the root of all evil.
This divinely-given path is definitely worth further study, and should be taken by all of Yahuwah's people who can do so. Remember, that with Yahuwah's commands comes His provision for you to obey it. "So do not worry about what you will eat or what you will wear." Yahuwah knows that you need them. He will provide. You will go through times of want, but Yahuwah will provide for all your needs just as He does the sparrows.

Breast Feeding for Life of Mother and Child
Can you imagine attending a wedding where the family of the bride prayed for her to have vast legions of children who would grow up to have dominion in the land for the Glory of God? This was precisely the blessing offered by the sisters of Rebekah upon her marriage to Isaac. These sentiments beautifully harmonize with Scripture after Scripture which extols the virtue of trusting the Lord to control the womb. For six thousand years, believers viewed children as a blessing and reward of the Lord greatly to be desired. It was widely accepted that those who cut off their seed usually did so in violation of the express commands of God. Only in the last seventy-five years has child prevention become acceptable in the Church. Perhaps more than any other philosophical shift in the history of the Church, the modern, anti-child philosophy has changed the way we view the role of fathers, mothers, family life, and multi-generational faithfulness. But genuine questions persist: Does the Bible address the question of child prevention? Is cutting off the godly seed ever an act of "good stewardship?" What about economic considerations? What about "natural" family planning? Be Fruitful and Multiply answers these questions and makes the case that Christians should do more than just "trust God" for children, we should cry out to the Lord to bless the fruit of the womb.
